Join us for a summer bash before our Tampa DSA delegates travel to DSA National Convention! We'll be enjoying a backyard concert and sharing food potluck style. There's a suggested donation of $10 - More is appreciated, but no one will be turned away for lack of funds or food! Donations also accepted at the door.
Donations will be going to the comrades organizing this event who hope to represent the Tampa chapter as volunteers and observers at DSA National Convention. Tampa DSA had 8 highly qualified folks run for 5 delegate positions in a hotly contested election. We hope to raise funds for the remaining 3 nominees who stepped up! In doing so, we'll send a loud and proud Tampa DSA delegation to Convention where we'll build new knowledge, networks, and inspiration between our local chapter and national organization!
All remaining funds will be donated back to Tampa DSA. DSA is a member-funded and member-run democratic socialist organization that acts for social change from the local to international levels.

This international BDS (Boycott, Divest, Sanction) campaign is partly modeled on the Boycott Shell campaign that pushed to end apartheid in South Africa. Chevron (and its subsidiary Texaco) provides over 70% of energy to the settler-colony of Israel between its oil rigs and investments in smaller oil companies. In doing so, Chevron and Israel are stealing the natural resources of the Palestinian people and upholding the violent apartheid settler-colony. Join the movement in boycotting Chevron to end its complicity in genocide and Free Palestine!
